By interacting with PancakeSwap directly through its blockchain contract through web3, we’ve managed to delay the Bet placement by 7 seconds compared to the GUI users on the website. This gave us an advantage over other players, allowing us to fine-tune our trading strategies to account for those precious seconds.
20+ mln records Database
Designed and developed a PostgreSQL database holding 20 million+ records. This includes: all the transactions placed since the beginning of the prediction market, the wallet addresses that have traded on the platform, the rounds’ history and more.
With this extensive data at our disposal, we have crafted unique, fast queries that allowed us to analyze who is trading live and to filter out impactful transactions.
Live Whale Detection
Small markets tend to get heavily influenced by transactions placed by big players (aka. Whales). With the efficient blockchain contract interaction system and extensive database holding the history of the platform, we’ve embarked on the task of detecting such players live.
As our trading system evolved, we would detect and classify such transaction into 3 categories:
Occasional big betters that don’t have a significant impact on the market
Players to follow
Having such knowledge allowed our bots to take adequate trading decisions, taking into account the current market.
